BARBED-BEARD BLOONDERVOOSEER (2024)

Ornery is a very good word to describe the Barbed-Beard. Their wiry beards wrapping in labyrinthian patterns and seeing their world on the brink of destruction, they are in constant irritation both mentally and physically - they use this to bolster their efforts against the warring nations that seek to harvest the final bastions of nature they possess in the Blackfinger Hills.

BARBED-BEARD JUGGERNAUT (2025)

A Juggernaut clad in heavy steel plate armor, adorned with Barbed-Beard trinkets and cuisine, and wielding a Masjiengeweer. While most Barbed-Beards opt for flintlock style weaponry, some utilize more modern firearms - hand-machined from stolen enemy munitions. Bollock Daggers are a big part of Barbed-Beard culture, them being a male-only race. According to them, these daggers represent a promise they must keep to the Mire Nymphs as Sucra-Loca’s guardians - the Barbed-Beard women originally being ensnared by Dæmons as they tunneled to Sucra-Loca, traveling through Hell from a Very Distant Place. Coalwors is also a very popular and nutritious dish - long-lasting sausages filled with various meats and spices, having a slight ashy taste.

BARBED-BEARD WANDERER (2023)

Many years ago, the Barbed-Beards were once known as the Hearthsweep Fæ - traveling across the realm to offer their meticulous cleaning abilities. They were seen as a good fortune, as they also dredged up items and treasures thought to have been lost by the home occupants. However, as they are tied to the nature of the world, they began to change as the churn of industrialization marched forward. Slowly, they began to drag in dirt and soot into the homes they entered. Their once-bushy beards warping into tangled barbed-wire and iron wool. While often turned away, some Barbed-Beards still wander the lands. Some army officers allow them to dredge up old loot from previous battles - offering them a small, paltry, meal as payment.
