I’ve been getting into some late-Soviet music as of late and I’ve become extremely fond of the band Kino. Viktor Tsoi is an extremely talented musician and his music has spoken to me in a very profound way. It’s been extremely inspirational and has helped my process in both drawing and writing - especially Entrenched. The unoffical theme (for legal reasons) for Entrenched is either Gruppa Krovi or Spokonaya Noch. Just some good stuff altogether!

Legolas and Gimli are the best characters for Lord of the Rings - they have such a funny and entertaining dynamic! Just as a little drawing exercise, I wanted to genderbend them. As it started taking shape, I found I started really enjoying the piece!

A commission I did for someone’s Trench Crusade war band. His character’s name is Chemosh, a tank commander within the Armies of Marbas, the demon of technological innovation and inventor of automatic firearms in the TC universe. It was fun doing this piece as it helped me gain confidence with doing environmental pieces and scaling up my work! I think there are a lot of things I could improve with it, but I am still proud of it nontheless!


 

Luce has been a very fascinating mascot that, of course, I find super fascinating! I also recently discovered Trench Crusade, a tabletop skirmish game set in an alternate Great War where the forces of Christianity and Islam fight against the dark powers. It’s really cool! I tried a new drawing method wherein I initially drew in greyscale and added color to it afterwards. It was quite a fun challeneg and I think I might do this more for my art!

I used to watch my brother play Doom on the SNES; when I got older, my girlfriend introduced my to Doom 2016. After which, I fell in love with the series! From the music, to the art direction; I have to say, I can’t wait for the next installation with Doom: The Dark Ages! I created this piece a day after the first trailer emerged. I based it off of Frank Frazetta’s piece: Warrior with Ball and Chain.

POST-SCRIPT (9 June 2025): I did not like how Doom: The Dark Ages was. It was a little all over the place with its aesthetic - it wasn’t super cohesive in my opinion. Though, some of the designs are cool! I might draw the Revenant or something like that! This was also a good lesson into Procreate’s color profile too...

I’ve played both Red Dead Redemption games, both, in my opinion, are some of the greatest works of art ever! Arthur Morgan and John Marston are of course very popular characters (I may make art of them someday), but, I really enjoyed Jack Marston too. I am curious to see if they do anything with him - I may biased, but the 1910s to 1930s is a very fascinating time period to work with! Some say he’ll be shipped off to the Western Front during the great war; others say he’ll join the mob and gangs of the 1920s; I’ve even seen art of him partaking in the Mexican Revolution. Though, I would really love to see Jack Marston, somehow, make his way to early Warlord Era China.

After I watched Spiderverse, I got inspired to check out the Spider-Man Noir comic line. I really enjoyed it, the depictions of the villains are so fascinating! It reminds me of Batman 1919! I based his pose off of the famous Winston Churchill photo.

One of my older pieces, I wanted to try experimenting with showcasing multiple characters in one scene and wanted to try my hand at different posing! Samurai Champloo came to mind, I love the show, I love the characters! So, here, drew Jin, Mugen, and Fuu.
