TRADITIONAL
SUPPER (2023)
A delicious supper for any true and noble fella. Theres no better meal than cigarettes, 7.62x54R, and “fish”.
I created this based off a digital still life one of my professors had us do for a project. I am quite fond of this one - I am gonna hang it up in my kitchen!
THE SHROUDED HILLS - DCC (2025)
I recently have been playing a new tabletop system called DCC - Dungeon Crawl Classics. It’s a very fun system based off old school editions of D&D and other classics like it. I’ve been making a world setting called the Shrouded Hills (perhaps I’ll make a seperate tab if I continue this project). I’ve been getting into the early modern period as of late; I mean, you can’t beat it! It’s got knights with guns, pike and shot warfare, and pirates! But, the Shrouded Hills: a stretch of land on the continent of New Armageddon - pocked with all manner of hills and hollers. A land betwixt by devils and beasts where the common man struggles to keep to the True Faith of Lord Deus. Safety is sought within the towering walls of civilization, but for those who seek a life of adventure and treasure, may Deus’ light shine upon thee.
Below, I have also made the illustrations of the classes. As is with DCC - there are 7 total classes: Cleric, Thief, Warrior, Wizard, Dwarf, Elf, and Halfling; the first four being Human. Faith plays a major role in the setting, there only being one religion and several denominations under it - with devil worship being the main antithesis of the faith. Besides Human, Dwarves, Elves, and Halflings; there also exists Orcs, Goblins, and Tieflings - accursed Humans, Halflings, and Elves (respectively) who fell to devil worship. However, this has granted them strength and magical prowess, along with a technological edge over the other races.
SAINT BRENDAN ICON (2025)
I created an icon for my patron saint, Saint Brendan. I watched a number of documentaries on the process of making an icon and how everything works. Though the photo doesn’t show it, I used a variety of shiny and illustrious paints to give that gold foil look. I “borrowed” my girlfriend’s nail polish for the fish scales to give that good ol’ shimmer. Of course, clad in blue is Saint Brendan, behind him are the monks who followed him across the waves, being guided by the Holy Ghost. After trying to cook, they had awoken Jasconius, the giant fish who they mistook as an island.
KHUZANG RED GOD (2023)
Another project we had to do based off a digital collage, this time, I made a scary creature; Khuzang Red God.
I’ve joked about giving this to my niece on her first birthday, I think my brother would find it quite humorous I think! Though, to give more information, initially, I wanted to build off the lore of Khuzang, a character that began as a DnD NPC, but has evolved into something so much more. He went from a well-respected monk, to a bum who lived in the mountains, then to shaman, and so on, so forth. All Khuzang are canon and are known to one another. In current lore, he was a heretic that stole the Breathe of God, and began a tribe of people who indulge in necoromancy and making golems.
SQUID HUNTER (2023)
A noble lass tasked with the ceaseless journey of killing squids - nothing more, nothing less.
THE SEA MONSTER (2019)
A massive project I did during my first year of college. I used conte crayons to complete the piece (which the original measures 38 inches by 44 inches). I am still very proud of it! I based this off of two separate pieces: a Russian caviar dish made of silver that I had found in the Richmond Art Museum; and a statue of a diver my father (a retired Navy Seal) was given. The main point of this piece is the question, “Which is the true Sea Monster?”
SNOM (2024)
I created this piece as a Christmas gift fopr my girlfriend. Funnily enough, I am not too big of a Pokemon fan, but I do think some of the designs are cute! This was one of the first traditional pieces I had done in a couple years since I do more digital work. I also used this as an oppurtunity to try painting with a black canvas too which was a fun experience!
SOLDIER’S KEEP (2022)
A piece I created to demonstrate the effects of light and shadow in my college painting class. We had to create our own display and paint it while also showcasing how several light sources of different colors affected the scene. I chose to make a scene showing the posessions of a 1900’s soldier.
